Here's something where I'm not hating on Christianity

Sorry for falling off the face of the planet for the past week. I started a new job for the summer and the move in hasn’t gone as smoothly as I had hoped. Even right now, my internet isn’t hooked up and I’m writing in a computer lab. I’m surprised how cut off from the world I feel without my internet. I have no AIM, no facebook, no way to check what the weather will be in the morning (without watching the TV, but who does that anymore?), no way of checking out the news. It’s really a horrible life to live. Haha, Ok, maybe it’s not that bad.

But seriously, I’m about to drive my car into a tree.

I guess while I’m talking about things that have surprised me…I’m surprised at how hard blogging is and how involved I was with it, even after just a few days. I’m not gonna lie, some of the comments people left kept me up a little bit. It was also surprising, although in retrospect it really shouldn’t have been, at how worked up people (including myself) get because of this stuff. I don’t mean to attack people in my writing, but it’s very easy to slip into writing things that are offensive.
That’s about it, hopefully I can keep up with things a little better. I hope you read my latest stuff and thanks for checking it out.

Stillkoontz, As one who disagrees with much of what you write, let me encourage you to continue. We grow through such discussions, self examination and basic all around iconoclasm. Shatter a few idols, make us think about our faith. It makes all of us stronger. You write with a readable style and you research your subject matter. That alone makes your work worth reading. Again, keep at it!

oh and yes I wrote a haiku about Lee, and I'm gonna be writing one about you in the near future....and maybe Pam and Doc. Also the Camper. And Busch Lite.

I would echo Gideon's point and add that the best thing about your writing style is it's brevity. Most of us (definately including me) tend to write blogs that are too long for easy consumption. Yours are spot on and to the point.
